Eye Treatment for Guinness
Donation protected
We are urgently seeking donations for our beloved team horse, Guinness, who is at risk of losing his eye from a severe bacterial infection which caused a fungal abscess within the eye.
Although Guinness has only been a part of the team for a couple of years, he has proven over and over that he is a valuable team member. He is a consistent favorite and loves his job as a team horse. Guinness comes to almost every show with us and does any class ranging from Open to Intro which shows how versatile and trustworthy of a horse he is. His personality and kindness is something that is truly so special.
The donation money will be used for the costly treatment of his eye, which currently involves a lavage kit that helps to administer three different eye medicines four times a day and other medications to keep him comfortable. We are hoping that the medications will save his eye and we will not have to resort to removal. We are seeking donations at this time in order to help pay for the treatment as we only receive minimal school funding that helps to pay for other aspects of the club. He will be going to the eye clinic next week to get specialized treatment in order to keep the infection under control as it is increasing rapidly.
Donations will go to his veterinary bills and other means to keep him comfortable. Please consider donating to help save Guinness’ eye, and give back to a horse who has continuously tried his heart out for our team and region. Truly anything helps.
Update: Donations will be matched up to $3,000!
