Medical Bill Relief

Hello, my name is Dorothy and I live in MN. I am fundraising to pay for medical bills incurred from an emergency hospital stay. I am a mother of 3 children- 2 sons in college and a young teen daughter, and I am a spouse of a veteran who served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard for 35 years. After his last extended deployment ending in 2007, he has suffered from PTSD and TBI resulting in a stressful and often toxic home environment. It has been said that "Pain hurts but stress kills." It is that stress that resulted in my journey to the hospital which ended in hospital bills that amount to more than 1/4 of my annual salary.

I left Palm Sunday service 04/02/2023 and the last thing I remember is seeing my exit I would normally take to go home. I did not become coherent until 04/07/2023 which was Good Friday. I was told I was found driving the wrong way down a one way street in a city more than 40 miles from my home which I had never visited previously. I was stopped by the police who realized I was having a medical event and called the ambulance sending me to the ER and then eventually hospital admission. I was thankful by God's grace and mercy I drove all that way incoherently without causing an accident or harm to myself or anyone else. After many tests, treatment for 16 days in the hospital and an additional 7 weeks of home health care, my health was restored which was a huge blessing. I had to take unpaid leave from work adding to my additional financial burden of the medical bills.

My hope and prayer is that God will make a way where there seems to be no way to provide a way to pay for this medical debt I now have. Any money raised will be used to directly pay down the medical bills I am unable to pay.
