Disabled family in desperate need of housing

Hi, my name is Judy, I am a friend of this family's, and I am fundraising to help this family where Joey is 35 years old and has been a non-verbal, bedridden, special needs kid since the age of 2. Yolanda (mom) has kept Joey home and taken care of him. She has worked at the same company for over 20 years. It all changed about a month ago when the house this family was renting for the past seven years was sold, and they were informed they had to vacate the premises. She has been unable to find a permanent location because of skyrocketing rental rates in South Florida. The prices were double and sometimes tripled what she had been paying. She found temporary residence with someone she had known for years when that person abruptly awoke the family in the middle of the night and told them they had to leave. They had to leave Joey's specialized bed, wheelchair, and lift behind. They got a hotel room for a couple of nights and then moved to the Air B n B efficiency they are currently residing. When they went to retrieve the bed, wheelchair and lift needed for Joey, the woman refused to give them back. This family has four members living in an efficiency that has no room for the specialized bed and medical equipment needed for Joey. Joey requires round-the-clock care and has a feeding tube. Joey has had a nurse to care for him while Yolanda is at work, but she refuses to come and care for him as he is currently sleeping on an air mattress on the floor and all the bending over to tend to Joey is too much for her back. The State is trying to get Yolanda to place Joey in a home, but she continually tells them no; she has cared for him at home his whole life and will continue to do so. The other family members in this situation are altering their schedules, so someone is always there to care for Joey. This family is in this situation due to no fault of their own. I am trying to raise money to help this family secure a home and household items and items needed to care for Joey. Please help me to help this family! I appreciate any help you can provide.
