Ezekiel Thrive through Autism
Donation protected
Hi I’m Ezekiel. Thank you for taking a moment to read my story. Life has been very difficult to navigate with Autism. But I thank God and my amazing parents that I have the privilege to attend a post-secondary educational opportunity for students with Intellectual Disabilities. I dreamed of a day to be able to attend college just like my sister Melodie did at Judson University. I couldn’t get a traditional education like her, but I am so excited to be accepted into the Rise Program at Judson recognized as a Comprehensive Transition Program through U.S. and State of IL department of Education!
Unfortunately, I do not qualify for student loans as it is considered “private” and only certificate seeking. My parents have worked hard to find and provide most of the funding, and I have received limited scholarship funds and other financial aid to cover Tuition Room & Board, but we still have to pay about $5000 out of pocket per semester for the remaining expenses. Our efforts to receive private funding has been unsuccessful. Monies raised will help cover the gap so that I can continue in the program.
I can tell you that my experience here has made me feel like I’m in a place where I finally belong. Any amount you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you are not able to contribute at this time, a share with your friends, family, church and organizations would mean the world to us as well. Thank you so much.
p.s my mom helped me with writing my story and this request. Blessings
