Amarie

Little Amarie & Pedro were born 8/22/2017 to proud young parents Kianna & Pedro Sr. Amarie has had a very difficult time since birth, she has not been able to go home with her twin brother and parents and will require long-term care. Amarie has been in the hospital since birth with no diagnosis, she was born with a narrow (bell shaped) chest. Doctors are running multiple tests a day to find out what she has, they have even reached out to doctors in Canada and other places for help. Amarie can not breathe on her own and has been on a ventilator since birth. She later had surgery to have a tracheostomy done, she is on a gtube (feeding tube), unable to eat on her own. Amarie's medical condition remains the same and this has taken a toll on her parents and family. We hope she can be diagnosed soon and get the help she requires.
The family has spent the last 6 months traveling constantly from Middletown to Westchester, NY in order to provide both children with the love and attention they need and deserve. The costs of this devotion have been considerable: traveling costs alone are extremely high for this trip back and forth; medical costs are only partially covered & will continue to grow; working to pay normal bills, as planned after a maternity leave, has been put on hold, leaving a considerable loss of income.
