My Mom's Cancer Journey: Embracing Hope and Community Support

In May, my mom, Brenda Dempsey, received the devastating news of being diagnosed with stomach cancer. This unexpected and shocking diagnosis has thrown our family into a living nightmare as we navigate a broken healthcare system to secure a treatment plan. Despite facing delays and barriers, we've finally arranged her chemo sessions starting on August 10th in Victoria, BC. While we remain hopeful for a brighter future together, we know the road ahead will be challenging.

My mom is an incredible source of strength and positivity, even during these trying times. Her spirit shines brightly as she seeks out silver linings on the most difficult days. She's a healer, a loving mother, a caring sister, a devoted nana, a cherished wife, a loyal friend, and an inspiring mentor. Her radiant light draws people close to her, and she's always been generous with her support to others. Now, it's our turn to lend a helping hand.

Brenda is no longer able to work at this time due to her condition, so any financial support will be greatly appreciated as we navigate the months ahead.
