My name is Masika Lynn Mizrahi, pronouns are She/ Her. Im now currently 24 years old (June 2023) and have been transitioning for 1year and 7months now and I’m currently raising money to help with my rent and food for 2 months while I recover and fully heal after an upcoming gender affirming surgery I’ve been waiting months to come.!
I’m so happy and proud to announce my actually surgery date.!
I received this wonderful news right before Pride and have been so excited to share this with all my friends, family, and fans.
My official Surgeon on call will be
Dr. Nguyen at Magee woman’s hospital August 22, 2023.!
The reason I’m asking for rental and food assistance is because as a Transwoman of Color my current main source of income comes directly from performing and doing shows around Pittsburgh and other cities. After my surgery the doctor recommended I try and take it easy for at 2 months so that my healing process goes over very efficiently and without any complications. It really makes me sad to have to take such a long but necessary leave of absence from my line of work, but honestly I couldn’t be more thrilled and also just thankful. I’m thankful for all the love and support each and every one of you show me. It truly means more than I can ever say or express.
Ever since I was a little kid I could remember feeling like I wasn’t who I truly was just to please everyone else around me. Not once ever realizing it’s not healthy and being who I truly am actually does matter. This journey is, has been, and will continue to be long but I know it’s what I need to feel like myself through and through.
