By the request of gofundme rules and regulations, we are required to disclose who we are, how we are connected to this cause and how funds will be transferred and allocated.
We are simply a group of well organized men, with the support of our families trying to do good work for our community.
We are NOT a non-profit, and we don't have a bank account--we are NOT an entity and we don't own anything.
Judson Root and Matt Powell are members of F3 in Raleigh and Chapel HIll. Robby Oakes is a member of F3 in Chapel Hill & Carteret County. Judson, Matt, and Robby set up the page and organized the effort both remotely and on the ground in Morehead City, NC. Please view our youtube videos found in the update section to see what we are doing for Carteret County, NC.
This page was created to support the members of F3 in Carteret County which set up an disaster relief mobile command unit at Starling Marine in Morehead City from Sunday Sept 16th through Saturday Sept 23rd and ongoing efforts in the ccommunity afterwards.
The purpose of the effort was to help restore the community after the hurricane and to help to community get back on its feet and functioning again. During that time the group collected donations of construction supplies and food to aid the effort. Trees were cut off of house and roofs were tarped and dried in from the elements; diveways we cleared of trees and debris so people could get back to work. Furniture was moved out of flooded and effected homes--ALL at NO expense to the residents of Carteret county. Supplies of food, water, clothing, and construction materials were delivered all over the county. Thousands of meals were fed to relief workers and families in the community.
Since F3 is not an organization with a bank account, all funds from this account will be transfer from GoFundMe to a personal account created for this purpose. The funds distribution to the personal account will be supervised by Robby Oakes (Carteret County & Chapel HIll), Clark Jenkins and Ed Stack (Carteret County). Once the funds are transferred, we will issues cashier checks to pay vendors directly. Our primary vendors are Fitch Lumber (Construction Supplies) , Uhaul (Vehicle and Equipment Rental), Costco (Bulk Food and Hygiene) and Starling Marine (Fuel while power was still out). Funds will also be used to support ongoing efforts through the NC Baptist Men Disaster Response and One Harbor & Glady Tidings Church.
We have posted updates regularly so you can see your contributions and supplies at work. Thank you for your support and your prayers. Judson, Robby, Matt (F3 [email redacted], Aujus, & Skynyrd)
