Christopher VS Cancer.. Round 2

Donation protected
This is my brother, his name is Christopher Vasquez. He is 26 and a college graduate from University of Toledo with a Bachelors degree in Information Technology. He moved to Las Vegas with my mother and brother to find better job opportunities and to help my mother financially.
Shortly after moving out to Las Vegas, Christopher started to notice a lump in his left arm. We took Christopher to the dermatologist to get it checked out. Of course we were concerned, but the dermatologist alleviated our fears when he said it was most likely just a fatty tumor. The dermatologist planned to make an incision into Chistopher’s arm to check it out. A few hours later the Dermatologist came out later and said that the mass was in his tendons and referred us to a surgeon. A few medical procedures later our fears were confirmed, Christopher was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma cancer in his left arm.
The doctors in Las Vegas decided that, because there dermatologist cut into his arm already, that there was nothing they could do, to save his arm. We were told that the only way to stop it would be to remove his whole left arm. Christopher didn’t really like that idea because he is an avid gamer and loves to play basketball, So we went all over town trying to find cancer doctors to find out other ways to treat it, besides just cutting off his arm.
A few doctors lead us to a cancer specialist, which led us to a cancer doctors in California and Las Vegas who offered some alternate options. They had helped us through figuring out the treatments where by my brother could have the cancer removed from his arm without having his arm removed from his body.
Christopher went through surgery to remove the mass all the way to the bone. He didn’t loose his whole arm, but he lost a good chunk of it. The scar left him somewhat selfconcious and a little scared because he lost allot of dexterity in his hand but, Christopher fought through it all and then went through Chemotherapy and Radiation to remove the cancer cells. It was a long and hard road, but Christopher’s next visit to the doctors would show that the cancer cells were gone. Christopher had won his first bout with cancer. 1-0 winner by unanimous decision.

Late September of this year, Christopher came down with a serious cough. A few days later, it worsened. Concerned, we took him to the hospital. He was prescribed various medications, and had follow ups at his normal Doctor. Concerned that his cough would not go away, Christopher did a chest x-ray; it showed fluid and a collapsed lung. Concerned, his doctor recommended at CT scan of his lungs, it confirmed our fear; there were masses in his left lung and right lung.
Now, Christopher is once again, in a fight with cancer. He has been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks, he has 3 masses in his left lung and one in his right, all confirmed to be cancerous. The medical bills are mounting and it is becoming very hard to keep up with them. Everyone in the house hold works a full time job. We all contribute both to the house hold and medical bills, but this still isn’t enough. The insurance he has, does not cover much of his treatments and also does not cover some of the medication he needs, meaning we pay for it out of pocket. This is why we are asking for help, help from people who care or know the emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual struggle and strain that comes along with this fight.

All money provided will go to nothing other than medical bills. If you can’t provide money, that is okay, prayers, information, motivational letters and even stories from some of you survivors out there will go a long way in Christopher’s battle with cancer. Help Christopher go 2-0 against cancer.
