Rebuilding the Farmer family

October 21, 2022 was the worst day of our lives. As a parent we should never outlive our children.

The day started out fine. We dropped our 7 month old son, Weston, off at his in home sitter. We headed to my husbands vasectomy procedure. We had our daughter and our son and we were done. We even joked on the way how you would really want to have more kids to do a reversal after a vasectomy. 

Around 2 PM I went to pick up my daughter at her school and then texted Weston’s sitter I was on my way so she could wake him up early from his nap. I was picking them up early because they were being picked up to spend the weekend with my in laws. The first time Weston was supposed to stay the night away from us…

When I pulled up to the sitters house the police and ambulance had just gotten there. Within 3 minutes of receiving my text his sitter called 911 because Weston didn’t wake up from his nap. He was perfectly healthy and never had any issues. He was found not breathing and they immediately performed CPR.

Weston was rushed to the hospital, the same one he was born at in March. They worked on him for such a long time but he was gone.

Our baby boy, little brother, who was the sweetest boy and always so happy left us way too soon. We will always love him and remember all the wonderful memories we had in his short life. But our family cannot stop here. Ashton, Weston’s sister, was completely obsessed with her baby brother. At 3 years old she is already learning what death is. She is starting to understand brother is in heaven and in our hearts but we all feel the need to grow our family.

The vasectomy that was done the same morning we lost our son which was completely covered by insurance. Unfortunately, a vasectomy reversal is all out of pocket, and not covered by insurance at all.

Any funds raised will be put towards rebuilding our family. Our family also experienced 2 miscarriages between our children so we are researching all options for possible with either a vasectomy reversal or IVF fertility treatments.
