Support Kenny's Battle Against Leukemia

As some of you may know, my father, Kenny, has been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. We received a phone call on a Saturday afternoon from his primary care doctor stating he had some alarming numbers come back from some routine blood work and wanted to speak with him as soon as possible. Upon calling her back, she informed him that she was concerned that he may have leukemia and wanted to run some more blood work. We reached out to another doctor who put us in touch with an oncologist and hematologist. After reviewing the blood panel, dad was admitted to GW hospital where they ran more testing on him to ultimately come to the conclusion of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Dad is currently at home with the family undergoing chemotherapy treatments and traveling to GW twice a week for blood panels and more chemotherapy.

Kenny has been a pillar in the fire and EMS community. He has been a volunteer in Calvert County since the age of 16 at multiple locations where he has had a range of different titles from safety officer to assistant chief. He worked in Charles County as a paramedic and lieutenant for roughly 12 years. He has had the pleasure of being chief of Calvert County EMS for his own community, bringing forth positive change the past 3 years and still going. On top of being the chief and a paramedic, Kenny teaches the next generation of fire and EMS the ropes of the profession. To say he has dedicated his life to this profession would be an understatement. He loves what he does and he just cannot get enough of it!

Kenny has a wife, Amy, a handful of children, and a plethora of grand babies that he loves more than anything in the world.
