Shelby's Tools

As many of you know the end of the 2014 Motorcycle Cannonball came with the shocking news that Team Carson's support truck and trailer with 5 vintage motorcycles was stolen from a motel parking lot on the night of Sept. 22, a day after the race ended. Along with the bikes were most of the riders and support crews luggage, tools, spare parts, and spare engines. The following couple of days the Police would recover the truck, trailer and 4 bikes.
Shelby Withrow was one of the support truck drivers for the team. He was also one of the teams mechanics. Shelby loaded up his prized vintage tools and set off with Team Carson to concuer the grueling cross country marathon, not knowing he would be returning home almost empty handed, his clothes, vast array of tools, cameras, spare parts, everything except what he carried into the motel room, gone.
The vintage motorcycle community is a small, tight nit, caring community of men and women that help each other out, most of the time with no questions asked. The type of people that see you need a part, pull one out of their saddlebag and flip it to you. The type of people that will stay up all hours of the night just to lend a hand wrenching. Shelby embodies all that is our passion in this hobby.
He needs our help as a community to get back what was taken from him, and I think all of you would agree there is no one that deserves a little support more than Mr. Withrow after everything he has done for us.
Please donate whatever you can to help out, and thank you for your time.
