Michelle Peters

  Michelle is an expat from New Zealand who arrived in Australia 6 years ago with her young family.  She was recently diagnosed with stage 3CR cervical cancer, the R being its also in her lymphatic system.  
She came here dreaming of a better life for her family. 
She signed a contract for work which she still attends even whilst going through  chemo and radiation treatment, one god send is the treatment  is courtesy of the Australian government. 
Michelle has been working full time, the only days she is allowed off is Public Holidays inline with her contract, which is around 4 days a year. In 5 years she has had this contract she has had only 20 days to herself and her family.
Unfortunately due to legislation she is unable to go back to New Zealand for treatment due to a 6 month wait period, the wait period can not be considered as the cancer is aggressive,  nor is she able to get benefits in Australia during her fight, so her only option is to  keep working to be able to pay rent and other necessities to support herself and her family.
The kids  know the gravity of the situation and have both secured part time jobs while still schooling themselves and helping their mother though all of their dark days. They are all doing their best and i know its hard to ask for help. It was like pulling teeth to organize this with these guys but sometimes pride needs to take a back seat.
At present after intensive chemotherapy the tumor has shrunk from 50 mm to 35mm, Michelle still has an uphill battle ahead of her.
If you can find it your heart to make life a little easier for this family, your kindness will not go unnoticed and would be much appreciated and payed forward in the future.
The aim is to raise enough money for some delivered meals, and possibly someone to cover Michelle 's  job for a few days so she can spend some time with her family. Anything extra will not go astray for them by any means.
