Support a Family Rebuilding After the Storm

My parents’ home in North Carolina was destroyed by Hurricane Helene, leaving my parents, little brother, and grandmother displaced. The city is still largely inaccessible, and they’ve been left without power, water, or access to basic resources. The insurance company won’t be able to provide assistance for at least another 72 hours due to long waiting times for claims (they estimate it may take even longer), and much of the community support is concentrated in larger cities/towns, leaving smaller towns like theirs without immediate help.

Right now, they’re doing their best to stay in hotels, but since businesses are closed, they’re unable to earn any income currently, which makes the cost of a hotel room additionally difficult. This money would be to cover the costs of hotel rooms, food, water, gas, and other basic necessities that they have lost in the storm.
