My Mothers Home Burnt Down
On Sunday August 15th 2021, My mother and my sister lost their home to a tragic fire in the Queensway & Islington area in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Everything was destroyed and nothing was left to salvage. Fortunately they were not home when the fire burned down the apartment but all possessions, practical and sentimental, were lost. Everything from furniture and clothes to home videos and precious family keepsakes. Who I worry for the most is my mother. She has already sacrificed everything as a single mother to raise her children (my sister, my brother and myself) and now everything her and my sister have ever owned is gone. It breaks my heart to hear the pain and shock in her voice as she remains confused and unable to hold a conversation for more than a few minutes without breaking down in tears. They are staying at my uncles (her brothers) apartment until they are able to return to where they once called a home. I am humbly asking for help to give her and my sister some financial relief as she begins to restart her life and climb out of this tragic hole caused by this incident. Anything helps. Nothing can replace the sentimental items lost but there can be a chance to help move forward. Any amount in donation will be accepted and more than appreciated. Thank you.
