As some of you might know, there was an incident at the Camarillo outlets involving two children who were riding their bikes and were hit by a car. Both were taken by ambulance; his friend suffered minor injuries. Ethan however, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Northridge Trauma center.

Ethan is such a good kid. He’s the kind of kid that you wish for your child to be friends with and lucky for me mine is. He’s extremely respectful, helpful, and caring. He is one of 7 kids in a blended family.

As of today, Ethan is in critical condition and has begun to breathe on his own since he went into cardiac arrest at the time of the incident. Luckily there were first responders (on and off-duty) close by so he received attention quickly. Ethan suffered a collapsed lung and both lungs are bruised, cracked sternum, fractured L5, some serious road rash, staples and stitches. The doctors have been able to taper him off his meds slowly and as of this evening, he started waking up and responding somewhat to his family. It is day to day right now. We won’t know the status of the damage to his brain due to being without oxygen for a period of time, but we are all hopeful and optimistic.

Ethan’s family is taking many trips back and forth from Camarillo to Northridge to be with him and also care for his siblings. This schedule leaves little to no time to work, and this is just the beginning. Ethan has a long road to recovery when he wakes up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
