Now Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer

Hi my Name is Melinda Marshall, unfortunately about one month ago we found out that my sister Darcie Rich has stage 3 ovarian cancer, she is a strong willed woman. She is so loving and caring for everyone. She will fight this with everything she has. As we all know hospital bills will get very expensive during this process, all donations received will go directly to her to put towards those bills. Thank you for your time, Darcie we all love you, “you got this” “everything will be fine”! Her saying is “I’m fine, it’s fine everything is fine.” She is determined and we will all fight this fight together. While receiving this horrific diagnosis, we also said our goodbyes to our Grandmother.

Update to her status. She has received four doses of chemo and had a complete hysterectomy performed on December 28th. Doctor said she responded VERY well to the chemo and the surgery went well. She will receive two more doses of chemo to make sure they got everything. Thank you to all that have donated.

Update… she has recieved her last chemo and will go on a maintenance drug to take once a day and do scans every 3-6 months. It has a pretty high rate of return so we are just hoping for a long remission. Thank you to all that have donated so far. We greatly appreciate you and what you have donated.

Update as of July 2024. Her markers are back up and more spots were found in Ct scan and exam. Started new chemo and immunotherapy.

okay so the current treatment is not working so we are waiting on bloodwork to get started on a new one. Currently experiencing back pain from the cancer.

Her bloodwork came back and the chemo they wanted to put her on they can’t. So she starts a different one on October 2nd that she will get 2 weeks in a row then 2 weeks off. Please continue to pray for her and our family as we go thru this.
