Help Darren replace his furnace that died in March
Donation protected
I am a small business owner hit hard by the economic downturn of the pandemic. My savings, income and finances were wiped out within the first two months of lock downs. To make things worse the furnace installed in my house in 1978 died earlier this year in March.
It was going to be replaced last summer but being destitute, I no longer have means to get a loan.
The furnace is over forty years old and not repairable. It was originally a 70% efficiency model but was operating at around 40% before it quit working.
I am not able to get loans because I no longer have a way to make the payments and I am not employable due to physical injuries and an anxiety problem which gets worse.
Please help so I can get my life back together. I am in Michigan and the house was 45 to 60 degrees all winter. The cold and financial difficulties make it difficult to earn money and find new means of income. A new furnace needs to be installed this fall in time for winter.
Funds above the $5,000 will go to make property tax payments, which I am having difficulty paying.
