After weeks of migraines and suffering from an unidentified illness, Brendan went to Reading Hospital to undergo a MRI of his brain. Upon looking at the results, the doctors informed the family of the devastating news that he has a brain tumor. They spent the night in the hospital awaiting further information on his condition. The following day, he was transferred to Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Thankfully, the doctors have discovered that it is not cancerous, but will need brain surgery to remove the tumor and do further investigation into his condition. Unfortunately the financial burdens of these medical procedures is a huge strain on the family, and they would greatly appreciate any support that can be given. Ever since I met Brendan we have been best friends. He is always in a good mood and makes the best of any situation. His energy and warmth is infectious. He has loads of energy and is a very generous person. It is nearly impossible to ever find him without a smile on his face. Seeing him in ICU in the state he is currently in, is one of the most heartbreaking things, but he is trying to make the most of it. His community and friends are coming together in this suffering to support Brendan and his family in anyway we can. Every donation will help pay for his medical bills. This will put pressure off of his loving parents who are also heart broken at this time. Also, his three siblings who are anxious to have their brother back in the swing of things. I want to finally see Brendan with a natural smile on his face and not a forced one from inside a hospital. We hope to see Brendan’s recovery lead him right back onto the lacrosse field to finish out his senior year with his team by his side and that great big smile on his face. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
