Support the Seymour family

Hello, my name is Nena Seymour and I represent the Seymour family. This gofundme is to expand our support systems and to allow families to donate to our cause for the death of our beloved father - Sylvan Seymour.

Sylvan Seymour was born in Kosrae, village of Tafunsak who came to the states in order to fulfill his educational goals. He was in Kansas City, Missouri, where he built a community with many groups of people outside our ethnic community. Up until the year 2013 where him and our family moved to Seattle Washington in search for a better environment for his family. As most of you know Sylvan had a stroke in 2022 resulting in him being disabled up until his passing. This meant he was never fully recovered to his 100% . Each day he lived, he faced severe pain to the left side of his body. This made it hard for him to able to walk, talk, or even eat properly. For the past couple years me and my family put our upmost effort into keeping him in a stable condition. Up until December 29, 2024 our heavenly father called him home during our church service where he died in the arms of his youngest daughter, and second youngest son.

Such a tragic death left our family in such a shock, due to the fact that every single one of us were prepared to have a normal Sunday service completely unaware that we're going to be facing a loss in our family, especially our father's. This is the reason we are reaching out to those who can and are willing to contribute to our cause, this can also be used for those who can't physically nor emotionally connect with the family but want to support. Anything helps, please don't feel like you are obligated to give much out of your pockets. Everything we will receive will go straight into the funds of our father's funeral expenses and we give high thanks to those who contribute and even acknowledging my father as a person. Our biggest ask is to keep high prayers to the family of the beautiful soul we lost.
