Hello, my name is Marlene and in support of my sister Faby, we are raising funds for her cancer treatments, post surgery medical bills and living expenses.

My sister is a kind, compassionate and loving mother to Natalya (16), Jose (14), Chuy (12) & Kamila (10). She’s always putting her children first. I know she wouldn’t like me doing this for her as she doesn’t like to ask for help, however she needs our help!

Earlier this year, Faby was experiencing constipation, bloating and belly pain that led to bleeding and blood clots. Due to her symptoms her primary doctor sent her to a GI specialist to get a colonoscopy. In May she got her colonoscopy procedure, her GI doctor explained that they had found a malignant mass and needed surgery right away. In June Faby underwent a Sigmoid colon resection or Colectomy surgery, doctors

removed part of her colon along with 37 lymph nodes. After pathology results came in, we received the shocking news

that Faby had Stage 2 colon cancer. After surgery she was referred to an Oncologist who advised for her to get chemotherapy treatment due to the colon cancer being invasive. Her Oncologist sent her to get a pet scan of her entire body. Unfortunately, after the scan, doctors found that the cancer had metastasized (spread) to her

liver. A biopsy was performed, and we are currently awaiting the result. However, doctors have determined that regardless of the biopsy results she

must undergo chemotherapy every two weeks for 3-6 months.

In summary, we are seeking financial help to cover her surgery, chemotherapy and living expenses, so that Faby can focus

on getting better as we are unsure of the side effects chemotherapy will cause and how that will affect her ability to

continue working during her treatment.

We are very proud of Faby and her display of mental and emotional strength. And we know she will beat this!! Send prayers her way!
