Face Masks For Zimbabwe
Anyone in Zimbabwe found not wearing a face mask in public places during the recently extended Covid-19 nationwide lockdown is now subject to arrest, effective of May 4th, 2020.
Coming from a textile producing family and community, I have set up this campaign as a service to Zimbabwe at this critical time. Originally set up as a textile exporting company, we have made the decision to pivot to reusable face mask production to help curb the spread of the pandemic in the beloved motherland of Zimbabwe.
Below are some features of the masks:
- Made with 100% locally sourced cotton: Easy breathing, soft, and light-weight
-Double layer for protection
- Completely covers the nose and mouth without gaping
- Fits securely to the head with ear loops
- One standard size (unisex)
- Hand-Washable
All production and tailoring will be done respecting social distancing guidelines.
With the help of funding from this campaign, we will be able to cover production costs, allowing for the masks to be donated free of charge to different high risk communities and organizations.
With most people unable to meet basic needs due to the economic hardship, the spread of the pandemic can prove to be catastrophic in this context if measures to curb it are not met.
With your help, we can be facilitators and changemakers in helping fight COVID-19.
A $5 donation will cover production for 2 face masks. Please visit this campaign often as I will be transparently updating everyone on production and distribution of these masks.
Kindly share this campaign with your friends and loved ones, everyone's support helps.
