Face protection
It’s no secret that that protective equipment for medical personnel is in short supply. Having a family member (My wife)
working the frontlines in the Emergency Department has brought exactly how dire the situation is. Staff are at war with the
virus and have limited protection. Staff are being asked to reuse disposable items over and over again due to their limited
availability.
Our son Wyatt was approached by a member of the ED staff to help offset this issue by printing re-usable face shields on
his 3D printer. He has been printing non-stop over the last few days and is ready to deliver 2 dozen shields. We are asking
for your support in purchasing additional material to increase production and help those that help us.The more protection they have to provide for their safety, the healthier they will be to ensure they will continue to be available as the patient
numbers continue to increase.
Wyatt had previously taken on a different community service project for graduation. When he saw this need, he reached
out to his administration and received permission to make this his project. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as this
will help protect those that protect us.
