[COVID-19] Donate PPE to Hospitals and Front-Line

Donation protected

Help us donate PPE (face shields, masks, ear savers, COVID boxes) to hospitals & front-line workers across the GTA.

During this worldwide pandemic, there is a recent shortage of medical supplies, especially for Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"). Many of us know of friends or family that are working in the front-lines and are risking their lives to help our community.

Although we are not medical professionals, we want to do anything we can to help.
By using our in-house equipment, we have been able to produce PPE to donate to hospitals and front-line workers.

Jay Wengle (our Executive Director) and I have been working around the clock to manufacture face shields to be donated. However, in order for us to increase our production capabilities, we are looking for donations to help us purchase materials and possibly additional equipment required to manufacture these medical supplies. We are specifically looking to produce face shields. masks, ear savers, and COVID boxes.

Face shields are made with 3D printed filament and laser cut 20 mil / 0.2 in PETG plastic sheets. Medical staff often wear face shields while treating patients to protect against droplets that can possibly transmit coronavirus.

Ear savers are 3D printed pieces that ease the pain felt by frontline workers due to the face mask elastics being around their ears all day.

COVID boxes are used to safely intubate COVID-19 patients. They require 1/4 inch polycarbonate sheets and created using CNC machines and routers.

We've recently partnered with the City of Richmond Hill for access to additional 3D printers, and we're always looking for more local and community support. These are unprecedented times and it's been heartwarming to see Canadians work together to get through this.

Thank you for your help and generosity.
