Face Shields for Frontline Healthcare Workers
Donation protected
My son, Justin (Junior at the University of Cincinnati, Conservatory College of Music) is a 'Maker' and given school was cut short a few weeks ago he has been home (bored) and he wanted to help the healthcare workers ... so while he's taking his classes online, this is what he's been doing:
Justin, along with other ‘Makers’ across the country who have 3D printers at home - have been manufacturing protective face shields for the front line doctors & nurses.
We have successfully delivered several shields to local Redwood City Hospitals - but the demand is growing.
This is the mask Justin is making the CR2 version (9" x 9" masks):

Justin connected with several of his Maker friends on the west coast and he will be receiving (at our house) several shipments of 3D printed frames, but we need PETG sheets to complete the masks.
Our goal is to raise money to purchase materials which have become scarce .... any amount is helpful.
- Full 4' x 8' sheets of the clear PETG plastic (shields)
- Elastic straps for the head bands
- Plastic Filament
ALSO: It would be great if you could help him connect with other people who have 3D printers at home, we would love to hear from them.
Please help us support the front line healthcare professionals at the forefront of the COVID-19 fight.
Even a small donation could help reach their goal. And if you can't make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.
Here's are a good article on the Makers movement:

Thank You!
