Facemasks for Gaza
Donation protected
While the globe is struggling to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, Palestinians living under siege in the Gaza strip face exceptionally dangerous circumstances. Under military occupation, Gazans struggle under an air, land, and sea blockade which severely limits their access to healthcare.
During this time, we need to do what we can to help Gazan's protect themselves from the spread of the virus and provide as many face masks as we can make.
Now that the first two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed (at the time at which we wrote this) in Gaza, we have scrambled to obtain supplies to start making face masks in collaboration with our manufacturing partner, Hasan (pictured below) in Gaza. (see the factory here: https://baby-fist.com/factory-gaza )
Initially our goal is to raise 15,000 usd. At 50 cents per mask, this will allow us to make 30,000 masks to distribute.
If making a donation is something you are not able to do, sharing this campaign with your network of friends, families, and co-workers is also an effective way to help. To help widen our reach, consider sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email.
We will be posting more photos of the factory and videos of the process by tomorrow (March 25th) afternoon so keep an eye out for them.
Any questions? Please don't hesitate to email us at yasmeen@baby-fist.com or amira@baby-fist.com
