Sloane Facial Feminization Surgery (tk and Tyler)

Hello! My name is Sloane Justice Rose aka tk aka Tyler Kalahar.

I'm collecting the funds needed to receive facial feminization surgery for my gender dysphoria. My surgery is scheduled for August 2nd and needs to be paid in full by July 24th. My doctor was able to provide a $40,000 discount at Yale Medical Center. I tried to pull from my retirement to pay for this. I wasn't allowed to receive the funds. Insurance has denied my claim and then drug its feet on the appeal process. I've exhausted all options and need help and I need this.

I'm desperately afraid to lose this appointment, the discount, and the fear not being able to work with my doctor in the future.

Facial feminization surgery is *one of the* most impactful surgery that trans women can have. It is swiftly becoming a norm in gender-affirming care. Even MaineCare, theoretically, covers this as the text is written. I cannot qualify to use MaineCare and stay employed.
