Faduma Found Her Match
Donation protected
After graduating and working for Thunderbird School of Global Management, Faduma embarked on an extended visit to spend time with her family in Kenya. While there, her health began to falter and after four long months, Faduma was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease.
In January 2019, she and her mother traveled back to the US to pursue treatment from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She has been on a dialysis regiment and officially began the journey toward the transplant process in February.
True to Faduma’s spirit and character, she has remained strong and optimistic throughout this journey. She has kept her light shining brightly with the support and love from family and friends.
In answer to our prayers, Faduma will be receiving the gift of a new kidney at the end of June! Her brother is a match and will generously be donating the gift of life to his sister.
We are asking for your continued support of Faduma and her family. By contributing, we can provide financial assistance for the travel and lodging of her family as well as mounting medical costs associated with her transplant and recovery.
