Faircloth Family Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Very few times in my life and the day-to-day journey is the fog lifted, and the pure picture of the broken world put into focus. On March 10th, 2023, at 10:34 pm, my phone rang, and my brother asked if my wife and I could talk. Brandon followed it up with: “I have some terrible news.” Emily had been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. Two surgeries later, God has already intervened and allowed her to go from a Stage 3 to a Stage 1. It has been a crazy ride of appointments, surgeries, tests, and scans, and the road will be long. Emily returns to the doctors on April 26th for final test results which will reveal the best treatment options to begin as soon as possible.
Emily’s hope is in Christ, and she is a fierce competitor and fighter. Even so, several families have asked how they can help and what they can do, so I created a GoFundMe from the advice of a cancer survivor to support the family with expenses during this time. I will also post updates to everything here to have all the communication in a single location.
So, if donating money is what you do, donate. If praying is what you do, please hit the floor for my brother, Emily, and their beautiful family as they start down this road. God is the creator and the healer; there is absolutely nothing He can't do, and we pray for the day that we can say Emily has been healed and her body restored. Whether on this earth or in heaven, we will all win in the end who are believers in Him, and this will be a story and testimony to tell.
***Update 4/30/2023***
Brandon, Emily, Cooper, and Rowan have felt every prayer, every hopeful thought, and every act of kindness, and they are so very grateful. As an update, they received wonderful news today and answered prayers. Emily will not have to do chemotherapy. They will set up a surgery date for mid-June and will proceed as long as neither a second opinion nor a mammogram reveals something else they need to consider. Thank you, God!
