Fairfield AEDs
Donation protected
Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening,
No matter what time you are reading this letter, people in this country need your help. More than 350,000 people each year suffer from cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting where there are trained personnel who know how to handle this situation. In the real world, less than half (45.7%) of the people that go into cardiac arrest get the immediate help they need from a bystander. For every minute it takes for an automated external defibrillator(AED) to get applied the chance of survival goes down by 10%. And on average it takes between 4 and 10 minutes for emergency medical services to arrive. These people die when they don’t need to. Because they don’t have access to an AED and/or they don’t know how to use an AED or do CPR. I can help teach them but I need your help with raising money for an AED in Fairfield. AEDs are a very important part of the chain of survival. They automatically detect the abnormal heart rhythm that is caused during a cardiac arrest and shocks it back to a normal rhythm. An average AED costs about $2,000 which is a lot of money for the town of Fairfield to give for everywhere in Fairfield. So I want to help with that. If we as a community can get more AEDs available in town, then we could save more lives and increase the survival rate. It may be your mom, or dad, or aunt, or sibling, or it could just be some person you have never met but their life matters just as much. If you can donate in any way that would be much appreciated, every little bit makes a difference in someone's life. If you can’t give money but would be willing to donate a gift card for your business that would also be greatly appreciated. I appreciate you reading this letter and I hope to hear from you soon. Please feel free to contact me with any questions
