Fairy Godmothers needed!
Donation protected
This year I met a real-life fairy godmother--a woman who believed in my writing enough to give me a scholarship to her screenwriting retreat. With a wave of her wand, I was introduced to three industry mentors who helped me refine my rom-com idea: RENT-A-GENT.
Next year, when RENT-A-GENT is finished and revised, I have the opportunity to continue this mentorship. My dream is to get this screenplay (as well as some children's TV scripts) produced. But in order to do that, I require funds for further mentoring and the support and goodwill of a few fairy godmothers and godfathers.
(Me and my real-life fairy godmother.)
I'm lucky to have a proven track record in the writing industry as a children's author, but as anyone in the field knows, unless you're J.K. Rowling, you rarely make a living at it. I'd love to eventually have a career writing humorous screenplays and books for others AND manage to pay my bills. That would be my ideal happy ending.
If you'd like to help me on my way to achieving my happy ending, I'd be extremely grateful. I'm specifically asking for funds to attend a screenwriting mentorship retreat in France in 2017 to continue my screenwriting education and get RENT-A-GENT into the hands of some Hollywood gatekeepers. Requested funds include accommodation, meals, transportation, and tuition.
I hope we can collaboratively make magic together by bringing more laughter and happiness into the world through creative projects. As a GoFundMe donator, you truly have the power to play the role of fairy godmother and make dreams come true. Thank you for any support you can provide--even just sharing this link with others is a huge help! Thanks again!
