Bonjour. Je m'appelle Marika Lacroix et j'aurai 46 ans bientôt.

La photo que vous voyez ici date du 3 septembre 2022, lors de mon magnifique mariage qui eu lieu a la maison. Heureusement que nous l'avons fait, car aujourd'hui, dû a ma santé, je n'aurais même plus ni l'énergie, ni la santé nécessaire pour organiser et vivre un tel évènement.

En avril 2024, ma vie a basculé au niveau de ma santé. Les diagnostics et les épreuves se sont accumulés un après l'autre. Fibromyalgie, tumeur a l'utérus pour laquelle j'ai été opérée tout récemment, et début 2025, polyarthrite rhumatoïde.

Plus ou moins 80% de ma vie se trouve affectée. J'ai même du officiellement abandonner mon emploi puisqu'avec le médecin, nous en sommes venus a la conclusion que ce n'était pas une réalité compatible avec ma santé.

Tous les professionnels de la santé s'entendent pour dire que le mieux pour moi serait de pouvoir nager en eau chaude de manière quotidienne. C'est pourquoi nous sollicitons aujourd'hui votre aide afin de nous aider a pouvoir se bâtir une piscine, de façon a préserver ma santé et mon autonomie le plus longtemps possible.

La chaise roulante et l'ambulateur font déja partie de mon quotidien lors de sortie familiale, aidez moi a faire en sorte de repousser le moment ou ca deviendra mon quotidien.

Hello. My name is Marika Lacroix, and I will soon turn 46.

These pictures are dated September 3, 2022, at my beautiful wedding, which took place at home. It's a good thing we did it back then, because today, due to my health, I wouldn't even have the energy or the health to organize and experience such an event.

In April 2024, my life took a turn for the worse, health-wise. Diagnoses and challenges piled up one after the other: fibromyalgia, a uterine tumor for which I recently had surgery, and in early 2025, rheumatoid arthritis.

More or less 80% of my life has been affected. I even had to officially give up my job because the doctor and I concluded that it wasn't compatible with my health.

All health professionals agree that the best thing for me would be to be able to swim in warm water every day. That's why we're asking for your help today to help us build a swimming pool at home, so I can maintain my health and independence for as long as possible.

The wheelchair and walker are already part of my daily life during family outings; please help me delay the time when this becomes part of my daily routine.

A huge thank you for all your donations, big and small. A warm thank you from my family for helping us achieve this goal.
