Faith Meyer Treatment Fund

My name is McKayla Vanderpool, my sisters name is Faith Meyer. I am setting up this go fund me to help with the adjustment and financial weight of her upcoming cancer treatments. On September 21st my sister was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer in her eye. The treatment process for this will be lengthy and depending on the severity, the worst case scenario is that she could lose complete function of her eye and potentially lose the eye all together if radiation doesn’t clear out the cancer. She has already begun to experience symptoms of vision loss in the affected eye including pain and blind spots. It is unclear at this time if the cancer has spread anywhere else in her body but it is currently diagnosed in her eye and hopefully nowhere further into her brain.

Over the next year, there will be considerable impacts of these treatments both physically and financially with the inability to work both for her and her husband’s time off work to help. Treatments will all be several hours away from there home city of Dayton, IA to the treatment facility in Minnesota at Mayo Clinic.

Estimated costs are well beyond their typical means even with insurance covering a portion of the treatment. Faith is trusting in God and asks for prayer through all of this. He is the ultimate healer and Faith’s biggest wish is to glorify Him in this and to let her story be an example to stay strong and Faithful even in the midst of difficult situations.
