FAITH over FEAR - Erin's breast cancer journey
Donation protected
This fundraiser has been established for our dear childhood friend, Erin Nemec (Rodehaver) who is facing the greatest challenge of her young life. She is a phenomenal wife and mother to two adorable children, and just an honest, funny and uplifting individual.
The story:
What started out as a tiny, tiny "cyst" with less than a 2% chance of being cancer, turned into something more sinister. Erin was persistent in being her own advocate. She had ultrasound, mammogram that led all doctor's involved to believe it was just that... a cyst. Erin wanted definitive answers, so she had a biopsy. On, August 5th, she got the call no one wants to get. The pathology was back... She was given the diagnosis of stage 1 breast cancer. She will undergo a bilateral mastectomy August 13th, and as you can imagine, has a lengthy road to recovery.
Sooooooo, we decided to jump into action and help raise funds for the Nemec's. They are a hardworking family, but in today's climate this would be an extreme challenge for anyone. We are hopeful this will help reduce the financial burden and be one less worry for them.
If you cannot contribute, please consider sharing her story.
If anyone has any questions, you may contact Kristin (Boehm) Long or Tara (Greene) Amor.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
