Faith over Fear: Fundraiser for Matthew Feidler
Donation protected
Hello and thank you for taking the time out of your day to consider helping Matthew Feidler and his beautiful family (Mandy Joy, Carson (18), Ashton (14), Easton (6)) with medical costs and monthly expenses as he undergoes surgery at the Mayo Clinic next week, May 3rd. Additionally and most importantly, they are in need of prayers. Due to the complexity and precision needed to perform this surgery, we pray for not only Matthew and his family as they prepare in the coming week, but his surgical team. We pray that their skills, knowledge, and experience lead to a successful procedure followed by a therapeutic healing journey in the months to come.
I am Matthew’s sister in-law; together with the help from friends and family, we have agreed to start a GoFundMe on the Feilder’s behalf in hopes to ease the financial stressors that come with medical journeys. The funds raised will be going towards the impact of lost wages, medical expenses, travel expenses, monthly bills, and further unpredictable costs that seem to present during difficult times. If we can take a portion of those stressors off their shoulders, it’s the least we can do for a family who would give their precious time, last dollar, and shirt off their back to help anyone in need… and they would do it with the kindest smile with no strings attached, never expecting anything in return.
Below is the latest background story and update from Matthew’s wife Mandy.

Good Morning everyone. The last couple of months have been full of healthy eating and exercise as Matt is trying to be in his best shape in case of surgery. We both had blood work done 2 weeks ago for our health insurance through Matt’s work we both received the highest numbers yet based off our bloodwork results. I received a score of 92 and he scored a 98!! We both feel the best we have in years. Matt is the same size as he was when he wrestled in highschool and won the State Championship in his weight class. He works out every morning on top of the dietary changes we made. I wish I had his determination and mind set…I have not been working out and it shows. We both have had numerous positive changes but Matt did had a few setbacks due to his Acoustic Neuroma tumor (diagnosed in November) on his hearing and pressure in his left ear. His audiology report from April 11th came back with setbacks from the last test in January. Matthew was also experiencing some pressure and numbness on the side of his face the end of March. We decided it was important to move up his MRI appointment to the soonest available to see if his tumor was growing, he had an MRI done on Monday, April 15 to compare to his January 31st MRI results and it measured an increase in size which is what's causing the continued decline in his hearing which isn't much at all at this time. Matthew met with his Neurosurgeon on Friday from Mayo and they decided the best plan of action is to do surgery as soon as possible in hopes to prevent any additional damage to extremely delicate surrounding nerves which include facial, balance, hearing/sound nerves and so many others intertwined with the Acoustic Neuroma tumor. The surgeon is hopeful in removing all of the tumor during surgery with a 50/50 chance of saving the amount of hearing he currently has. They scheduled pre-op appointments for May 2 and brain surgery for May 3. We have 9 more days to prepare for Matt not being able to work for an unknown amount of time as each surgery and recovery prognosis is unique for each case. Matt’s Dr.s said to prepare for 3 months of no lifting or bending over. We are hoping that the last months of dietary and lifestyle change will aid his body greatly in a quicker recovery. We are asking for continued prayers as we prepare in these days ahead. I will need to be with Matt as long as it takes at Mayo and when he gets home for an unknown amount of time. I'm putting jobs on hold May 1st through unknown but praying and asking all to pray that God provides jobs for me at the right time so we can continue covering our monthly expenses. Matt is paid on performance so income will be halted while he is recovering. Pray for those that will be helping with the boys. My Mom will be at our home with the boys until we get home from Mayo, if we need her nursing skills when we are back she said she would stay as long as we need. Matt's Amazing Mom and Family said they can help when needed. We are so thankful for all prayers and huge support from family and friends and ask you all to bring Matt's name to God whenever it passes by your thoughts as God knows exactly what he needs through these days ahead and we trust he will provide. To God be the glory for a full recovery and His Will be Done. Matt continues to write on our pantry chalk board door daily.... "I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me!" Philippians 4:13…I also have joined in and just recently Ashton has. ❤️ If you received this message We love you and Thank you. Mandy Joy
