As a lot of you know already, My sister Amy's husband Tad Dambrosi fell off a ladder yesterday from a 15 foot fall. He is in grave condition fighting for his life at Palomar Hospitals ICU. He fell backwards landing on the back of his head (Creating several brain bleeds & swelling), he has 9 broken ribs, a broken clavicle, a punctured lung, possibly other face fractures and injury to his shoulder. Tad was in surgery yesterday for 4 hours, Dr's were working on his head trauma removing parts of his skull to relieve some of the swelling/pressure. He has a long road to recovery. BUT he has JESUS and that gives him the best odds of all!
We want to thank you all so much for your outpouring love and prayers- we are numb and in shock- the Drs have done what they can , and now we must wait.. we know we have a GOOD God and WE WILL trust in HIM! We will try and do updates.. please know how grateful and overwhelmed our family is by all the support!! Please pray for Complete healing on his brain and for the damaged parts to be completely restored- with the main focus on his brain right now. But we serve a GOOD GOD and WE will praise HiS name
We couldn’t have asked for a better trauma Dr., Dr. Steele is so kind and so loving and so patient for every question. He literally lets Amy cry and calmly reassures her, he is going to let her know every step.. and what he is actually feeling! .. and so we wait!
During this time, we want Amy to have the least amount of stress possible, Tad has always been the soul provider in their home, with Amy homeschooling and cooking the meals. They have been quiet the team! Amy and Tad have both been active in their church for many years at Cross Connection (Formally Calvary Chapel Escondido) They are a loving couple with 5 children, and many other kids (Friends of their children) they have adopted as their own. They have opened their home too, and fed, given rides to and from, supported and loved on as their own.
It would be so greatly appreciated if you would be able to provide a meal to their family, signing up on the "meal train" or donating money on this website, or to the "Go Fund Me" account soon to be created. Every dollar helps. Tad has VA Insurance, but we do not know how much of this tragedy will be covered. Medical expenses add up quickly and from the sounds of it, Dr's say he has a long road to recovery and he will never be the same again. So if you are unable to provide food or financially, please pray for Tad and his recovery. To Amy for being the glue right now, keeping a smile on her face for her children who are so worried, yet facing so many challenges ahead and being strong for everyone... and prayers to her children, who I stayed with last night and put them to sleep with tears in their eyes asking when does daddy get to come home? Peter always calling Tad his best friend.. and Cali always saying to daddy every night "I will see you tomorrow right? you're never going to leave me right?" as the Bible says ~ Psalm 145:18 "The Lord is near to ALL who call on Him." Let us come together for the Dambrosi Family. Thank you and we will continue to keep you up to date.
