Faith's Lodge Grief Retreat for Unique

This fund is to benefit Unique Ruffin to assist in her transportation and healing process at Faiths Lodge  a place who's mission is to support parents and families coping with the death or medically complex condition of a child in a peaceful environment to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present and build hope for the future. Unique's son, Isaiah Goodrum was a victim of gun violence just after his 19th birthday in July. He had just graduated high school and was planning on attending MATC in the fall. This unexpected loss can be felt deeply by any parent.

It's been heavy on my heart for awhile to find a way to help this long lost friend from my youth find some peace. Yesterday she shared, "I wish I had a lot of money. I would set up a retreat for grieving parents who lost their child violently. There would be a spiritual retreat with lots of praying, meditating, resting, therapy, LOVE. Somewhere near a beach.... " and it came to me that this was how we could help. I have found Faith's Lodge... a retreat for grieving parents and am able to give her the gift of a stay but I cannot do this on my own. She will need transportation round trip, and additional amenities to travel to this retreat. That's where we come in. This fund is to raise those additional travel expenses to help make this retreat possible. 

It is the season of giving, please consider how having this peaceful retreat of grief and reflection will truly help impact a mother in need. I would be ever so grateful for any donation you are willing to spare to support this loving mom during a difficult holiday season of mourning.
