Fall Cat Funds

We are a small group of people working hard to help cats and kittens in NYC and the last few weeks have been pretty hard on our wallets!
Over the Summer we took on a number of cats and kittens that after another local rescue shut its doors. Amongst those kittens were:
Caeleb - he has a noticeable "pectus excavatum" in his chest and thus had to be checked out and neutered at a private clinic rather than at the ASPCA. Caeleb's visits and surgery totaled $253.
Marie came to us with an eye that had never quite recovered from an Upper Respiratory Infection. It didn't seem to be healing well so we had her checked out at the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, where enucleation was recommended. Marie's checkup, spay and enucleation at the Cat Cafe totaled $410
In October we offered to trap 3 "older kittens" that were geographically nearby and seemed like a decent TNR effort. The kittens turned out to be in a stage where they could be relatively easily socialized and unfortunately the person who had been feeding them stated she was moving. Without a good option for their Return, we were somewhat backed into fostering them as well.
One of the kittens began having respiratory issues approximately a week after his neuter and his foster mom took him to the local clinic for treatment. While he seems fine now in terms of his illness, he is now badly limping and needs to go back!
Thomas' costs so far have been $459.
He now has a limp and needs to go back for an x-ray!
We are awaiting a vet appt for an x-ray and hopefully his issue will be resolved with crate rest and he won't need surgery.
After his initial visit, the other remaining kitten was also taken to the local vet for a checkup. DeLorenzo is healthy but her visit was $73.
To top it all off, a pair of kittens I rescued in 2022 were just returned to me as 18 month old CATS! Willow and Jasper are available for adoption, super snuggly and are settling in nicely. They did of course need their annual checkup so off to Flatbush Vet we went for a checkup and updated vaccines. Their visit was $150 total.
TLDR
In short, we have more cats than anticipated and we do very little fundraising but we do need to ask for help this Fall. The bills I've totaled here are $1345 and we don't know what additional expenses might come from Thomas' limp. That doesn't include our normal TNR efforts or in-house expenses such as food, litter, cleaning supplies, puppy pads, or transportation costs!
