Ben's Fall Concert Series

Hey there! My name is Ben Huff, and I'm an improvising musician based in New York City. I recently reached out to my community of musicians to see if I could put together a concert series this fall. I received an overwhelming amount of responses from artists offering to play in this little festival of sorts. Most acts will be solo sets, but there might be some duos or trios as well, and if there's a lot of excitement about this project I might figure out how to livestream each show.

Making sure artists get paid for their work is a high priority for me, so that's where you come in! I'm planning on having two shows a month with 3-4 artists performing at each. Each artist will be paid $50 per set, which means I'll need anywhere from $900-$1,200 just to pay the talent. Any additional funds raised will pay for snacks, drinks, and good vibes at the shows.

I've put on a few shows in the past with money I've saved up, but I really want to be able to organize a more formal concert series. Having the funding up front will allow me to plan and book talent ahead of time, rather than throw something together once I've saved up enough.

The plan is for shows to happen every other Friday, from September to November. Help support live music and community in NYC!
