Fallen Hero: LBPD Detention Officer Phanarom Phin
Donation protected
It is with heartfelt sadness that we share news of the passing of Long Beach Police Department Detention Officer, Phanarom Phin. Phanarom was off-duty when he suffered a medical emergency and unexpectedly passed away Sunday night. Phanarom was not only a colleague and friend to so many, but most importantly, a strong and steadfast source of love and support to his wife and his three children. Words cannot describe how heartbreaking this is to his family.
Phanarom served with the Long Beach Police Department for over 19 years, with most of his service in the Jail Division. His latest assignment was in the Bailiff Detail where he freely gave of his humor, hard work, guidance, and wisdom, not only to his LBPD family, but to law enforcement, correctional, and judicial colleagues throughout the Long Beach/LA region.
Phanarom stepped up and chose to be the sole provider for his family. Survivor benefits are currently in the works; however, memorial services will occur within the next week in keeping with family traditions. This loss has been devastating to the Phin family, and any support they receive to help with immediate needs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
