Families effected by Cyclone Gabrielle
Donation protected
Hi all,
I’m not sure if you have even caught wind of the story yet; The North Island of New Zealand was ravaged by Cyclone Gabrielle nearly a week ago. The severity of the damage is hard to comprehend. Simple words in a blurb here just doesn’t do it justice.
Whole areas in my beloved home land of Hawkes Bay have been completely washed away. Families have literally escaped with the clothes on their backs and nothing else, if they were lucky.
I understand times are tough for everyone in this current climate but our brothers and sisters from across the ditch could really do with some help from our beloved Aussie family.
The plan is to try and raise a couple dollars to see if we can donate to a local charity organisation in Hawkes Bay to help these people who have literally lost everything.
We haven’t confirmed whom we’re giving the money too yet, but are in communication to try find the best fit. We’ll also keep you updated every step of the way.
The ultimate goal is to supply the bare essentials (nappies, bread, potatoes etc) to a few people in the community whom have lost everything.
The lack of coverage of the whole situation is heartbreaking. It brings me to tears to even ask, but these people really need our help.
No donation is too small ether, every dollar will help.
