Families of Waterside School

On Sunday, April 19th I will run a half marathon for families who are struggling through this COVID-19 crisis.  Originally, I was scheduled to run the SHAPE Women’s Half Marathon in Central Park and as you would expect, due to COVID-19, it was canceled. A lot of things in life have been canceled and there are a lot of people who are struggling because jobs have been lost and hours of work reduced.


The devastation caused by COVID-19 is heartbreaking on all fronts which is why I am committed to doing more and asking for your help!  As I map out the 13.1 miles I will run on Sunday, April 19th, I am asking for each of you to donate $130 ($10 per mile) for the families at Waterside School. Waterside School is a co-educational PK-5th grade independent school serving children and families regardless of limitation in income or circumstance. Only 9% of the school’s operating expenses are offset by tuition - ALL families pay ONLY as they can afford.  This means that 100% of these families are given financial assistance from the school. 100% of these families need our help to get them through this time. 


And yes, 100% of your donation will be tax-deductible and 100% of this fundraiser will go directly to the families of Waterside School, a 501c3 organization (EIN # 061609222).
