Family Bowl

The Family Bowl story began in March 2020, but it continues on today...
After a very successful non-profit initiative to feed Routt County during the COVID-19 Pandemic (see page updates), we realized that there is still an on-going need to provide quality food and helpful resources to community members who lost their jobs due to Coronavirus, and to low-income families who are in need of extra support, especially during this time...
We are reigniting the Family Bowl initiative this holiday season with meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are partnering with Routt County United Way for Thanksgiving, serving a traditional holiday meal, to-go style, from 1pm-5pm on Thursday, November 26th. We are also partnering with the Steamboat Board of Realtors to provide a Christmas dinner on Friday, December 25th. Any contributions made to this page will go towards the success of both nights.
Please keep in touch with us for more Family Bowl projects.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.

To the Steamboat Springs service industry and community at large:
Beginning on Monday, March 23rd, Snow Bowl Steamboat will launch it’s “Family Bowl” initiative, to provide free carry-out meals to restaurant and service industry individuals who have recently lost their jobs, and to community members who cannot afford a daily hot meal. All food items are currently being provided by Snow Bowl Steamboat and 41North.
In order to keep our staff and community healthy and safe, please park in an orderly fashion and a Snow Bowl manager will direct you to the outdoor container bar where you can pick up your carry-out meal. Each carry-out meal will feed two people. Please limit two carry-out meals per person per day. We request that you abide by the honor system if you need to take more for people who may not be able to leave their house. Meals will be served every day from 5:00pm-7:00pm, or until supplies last.
Please follow the Snow Bowl Facebook page for daily carry-out menu updates, our partners in service, and any other questions you may have. It is our goal to provide this service to restaurant employees and community members in need. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out and let us know how we can help.
These are the times when it’s imperative to show up for your neighbor, to be kind to one another, and to stay grateful.
Would you like to be involved? All contributions to this program (monetary, food products, etc) will be used to keep the Family Bowl program running.
