Family Cerda medical fund

Hello my name is Leslie Cerda I am raising funds for my dad Juan Cerda.

On Wednesday morning we noticed a change in our dad. He didn’t seem well by the way he was unbalanced, his face began to droop, and he was slurring his words. It wasn’t until later that day that he was taken to the hospital in Santa Maria where the nurse informed us that he had a stroke. They ran several tests, did blood work, many MRI scans, and CT scans to find out what was wrong. They found that he has a blood clot on the left side of his brain and a small clot on the right side as well . He has been diagnosed with “Aphasia” -loss of ability to understand or express speech, caused by the stroke. When they discovered this on Friday, they transferred him to a hospital in Santa Barbara for intensive care. They are currently doing more MRI tests as he awaits surgery to remove the blood clot. We don’t know how long he’s going to be there for, but we are praying for a healthy recovery. We are creating this fundraiser in hopes of receiving enough to help cover the medical expenses we cannot afford. Everything is appreciated and we thank you for all of your support.
