Support New writing created by grads and new talent

'Family First' is a new play written and developed by graduates and unrepresented talent. Through songs, dance and stories of old, we want to bring theatre to working-class communities with theatre that truly represents what it means to be a part of the northern community in the 21st Century.
We performed a rehearsed reading of this in September, and all we need now is funding to get this on it's feet!
What will donating help us do?
- Allow a platform for graduates and self-represented talent to find more work and seek representation
- Get working-class actors on-stage
- Bring theatre to working-class audiences
- Bring theatre to pubs, community centres and parish halls
- Pay ourselves fairly
Synopsis:
The Merrow family has owned and operated ‘Balor Bar’ for generations. Known for its warm atmosphere, hearty laughter, and the best stout in the county, the pub is more than a business—it’s a cherished family tradition.
At the helm of Balor Bar are Malachy and Lizzie Merrow, a spirited couple whose love for their pub is only rivalled by their love for their three children: Conor, Keira and Maeve.
The pair have always envisioned passing the bar down to their kids, keeping the legacy alive. However, not everyone is on board.
Through lively scenes filled with song, dance, and stories of old, ‘Family First’ explores themes of family, tradition, and self-discovery.
