Family & Funeral Expenses for Alicia Cabrera

Hi Team & Family,

With great sadness, we share the news that we lost one of our most long-standing and beloved IDEA Team & Family members, Alicia Cabrera, Senior Human Assets Coordinator, based out of our RGV HQ region, over the weekend.

Alicia began her tenure with IDEA Public Schools in July of 2001 and served in various roles over her twenty-one years of dedicated service to our students and organization. Alicia was a devoted IDEA parent, as her son was a founding student of IDEA Donna. Her great pride and joy was her two-year-old grandson Grayson, whom she loved spending time with.

If you are moved to do so, the Cabrera family would greatly appreciate any love offerings from friends, family, and community as they prepare to lay our beloved Alicia Cabrera to rest. This Go Fund Me is organized by Alicia's IDEA Team and Family in a show of solidarity, love, and support for her and her family. Thank you, and God bless you for your prayers and donations.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna

The viewing will be Wednesday, Nov 2, from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

*prayer service begins at 6:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov 3 at 9:00 am, and burial at Val Verde Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am.

The family has asked for attendees to wear purple or lilac. Please keep her husband, Lazaro Cabrera, two sons, Mateo & Lazaro Jr., and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
