Family help after Stroke

On October 16th I (John) was rushed to the hospital via ambulance for a possible stroke. It was discovered after a CatScan that I had had 2 minor strokes probably starting in the evening of October 15th. I was immediately admitted to our area's Stroke Center. After a gamut of testing I was released in the evening on October 18th. On October 20th, while my wife was a work, I had another stroke event. My children called 911 and I was once again transported to the Stroke Center. After yet another CatScan, it was discovered that the 2 previous stroke zones had "completed" into a large stroke zone, and that I had another 3 smaller stroke zones. The later event cause significant deficits affecting my left side function. While hospitalized the second time, and numerous tests later we still have zero answers as to why the strokes happened and why I had so many of them in such a short amount of time.
Upon my release from the Intensive Care Stroke Center I was given orders for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. I am currently undergoing an aggressive multi-discipline therapy schedule requiring me to have therapy 6 times a week, as well as follow-up appointments with my primary care physician, cardiologist, and neurologist.
Before the strokes I was an Executive Chef; however, I am no longer able to perform my job due to the left side deficit as well as having lost my taste sensation. We have filed for disability through Social Security to try and attempt to alleviate some of the financial burden that has now been completely placed on my wives (Amber) shoulders. Since the stroke events she has not been able to fully go back to work, as I need help with basic life skills, like administration of medications, getting dressed, cooking a meal. We have 5 children, who are doing the best that they can, as they witnessed both events.
Our current immediate needs are financial assistance with monthly expenses like rent, electric, water, gas, etc... as well as the mounting medical bills. We currently are aware of $125,000 in medical bills, and that number is climbing everyday.
