Family hit by devastating tornado needs your help

Hi, my name is Kristeena and I am fundraising for my best friend Kara Hughes and her family. On Friday April 26th Kara's entire neighborhood was hit by a devastating tornado. Kara was in the basement hovering over her children, doing everything in her power to shield and protect them from harm while the roof of their house was being ripped off. Thankfully they were not hurt, but the aftermath of this tornado destroyed everything they know and own. If it was not blown away by the tornado, it was destroyed by water from busted pipes or insulation covering the rest of their belongings. After the tornado hit they had to evacuate their home in such a panic. Kara, and her kids literally left with just the clothes on their backs; walking barefoot through the debris.

Kara has 3 beautiful kids and worked really hard to have a nice beautiful safe home for her children. They mean so much to me and my children. She is more than my best friend.. they are family. Unfortunately they did not have renters insurance to cover their belongings. If I could wave a magic wand and fix it all for them I would in a heartbeat, so this is the closest that I can do. It breaks my heart to see how this tornado has destroyed such a beautiful family's home and spirits. Please, put yourselves in their shoes and let's all do what we can to pitch in so that they can can at least start replacing the everyday necessities that they lost and be able to get into a new home for her and her children.

Nothing will ever be able to repair the damage Kara and her family faced emotionally, but at least we can try and help replace what they lost. I am so grateful that they are okay, so let's try and help them start somewhere to rebuilding their life and home. Thank you for your help.
