Family Home Of Seven Burned Down
Donation protected
Just hours ago last night, Wednesday, March 6th, a family home housing three generations ranging in ages 13-77 years old (five children, a single mother, and one elderly grandmother/ella mae) burned down. The Bell* family lost nearly all of their possessions as well as their home. The landlord had told my friend's mother, Ms. Bell, that the home was insured, but has not told them it was not fully insured, and as of yet they are unsure of how much of the damage will be covered for the home. They will now need money for clothing, shoes, electronics, books, beds, new linens and towels, kitchen supplies, school supplies, furniture, and potentially a new home all together (as this happened so few hours ago, the extent of the damage has yet to be assessed, as the family has been busy getting themselves safe and settled). The family is staying in a hotel until they can find a place to stay permanently, because the kids need to continue going to school.
Let's show up for this family and this single mom and help them recover and rebuild their lives after this devastating loss!!
*the family asked for their real name to not be used out of respect for their privacy.
