Family Home Tragedy

Hi, my name is Julia; I'm the daughter of Ion and Rosaura Albert. My parents have recently suffered a significant loss to their family home of 22 years in Cooranbong. Their house was tragically burnt down in the early hours of Sunday morning, 23rd October, which they fortunately escaped with only minor injuries.

My Father built this family home and the walls which held all our childhood memories. With great sadness, they watched all their personal belongings, documents, treasured photos and vehicles destroyed in the blazing fire.

They have lost everything.

The journey ahead will not only take months, but years of restoration to rebuild a new life for themselves. However, with your help, we hope to make this journey a little smoother for my parents and ease the financial burden of losing a home.

We are incredibly thankful to still have our parents and brother with us; a home can be rebuilt, but a life is irreplaceable.

Thank you for all the beautiful messages and for those who've been able to help so far. It has been incredible to witness a community of neighbours, friends and strangers rally together to show their support and compassion in such a tragic time.
